About Owner and Jewelry Designer, James Matero
James apprenticed under his grandfather starting at 13 years old learning how to hand fabricate and repair jewelry in the traditional (old school) methods. Most recently, over the last 10 years, James has mastered the industry’s most sophisticated CAD software, 3D printing technology, and in house casting to bring complete control over the manufacturing process to Jaymark. James has a degree in Geology from Hunter College, as well as his A.J.P. and is a Graduate Gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America (G.I.A).
